Spring
Yes, we're open all year. In spring, the ice usually leaves the lake
in the middle of April. No winter sports, no summer sports, but a
wonderfully quiet, restful getaway for that renewal of spirit so necessary
in this hectic world of ours. Watch a movie, bring
a book, borrow some board games, maybe make time to just sit and ponder. |
 |
Summer
What is so rare as a lazy hazy day in summer, when the sun is sparkling
diamonds on the lake. Paddle a canoe across the lake and up the river
to Ragged Falls, an unparalleled spot for a picnic. Bar-B-Q a steak
on your private gas bar-b-q. Or play
tennis, take a tube ride, water
ski, rent a boat for fishing or just moseying around the lake.
Our beach is great for swimming, with a water slide a 16'
water trampoline and a diving raft. |
Fall
Our hills are famous nation-wide for the incredible spectacle provided
by the changing of the colors in autumn. Either walk our own trails,
drive the local back roads, or simply look out the windows of your
unit to experience this awesome yearly wonder of nature. |
 |
Winter
Come and enjoy the old-fashioned winter that you remember. The snow
stays white, you can see the stars, and skating on the lighted lake
rink is a toe-tingling pleasure. Our own cross-country ski trails
a printable Trail Map) are groomed and track set, if that
is your sport. Return to the warmth of your own fireplace in our most
comfortably furnished cottages
and suites. Enjoy
yourself indoors in our recreation room, with a billiard table, table
tennis, shuffleboard, and video games. |
| Blue Spruce Resort
enjoys the wonderful advantage of being located just 5 miles from
world famous Algonquin
Park. True wilderness hiking and canoeing, as well as excellent
museums and galleries are available along with the chance of moose
sightings along the road corridor. Some of the trails are groomed
and track set in the winter for skiing. |
